Booking comedy show tickets

Your contact details (name, email, phone) will only be used to contact you in relation to your booking or any important news about the show you have booked for.

This may include - confirmation of your booking, cancellation of a show (refunds of any monies owed to you), a change of date for a show, a change of venue, a change of line up.

If you are late turning up to a show we may phone you to ask if you still intend to attend the show.

Booking a place on a course/workshop

Your contact details (name, email, phone) will only be used to contact you in relation to your booking or any important news about the course/workshop you have booked for.

This may include - confirmation of your booking, cancellation of a course/workshop (refunds of any monies owed to you), a change of date for the course/workshop, a change of venue, a change of teacher, information about any preparation expected of you before the course/workshop, information regarding any end of course/workshop showcase/performance.

If you are absent or late turning up to a course we may phone you to ask if you still intend to attend the course/workshop.

Making purchases from our shop

Your contact details (name, email, phone, address) will only be used to contact you in relation to your purchase or to post your purchase to you (where this is relevant).

This may include - confirmation of your purchase, cancellation of your purchase (refunds of any monies owed to you), asking you whether your purchase has arrived safely.

Processing payments

- Online payments

When you use our website to make an online booking for a comedy show, comedy course/workshop or to make a purchase from our shop, your payment details (debit/credit card) are processed securely by our partner Global Iris Realex Payments.

The payment processing page is hosted on their system (https://redirect.globaliris.com/epage.cgi).

When you make any payment to us online via our website The Funny Side do not store your card details nor have access to them in any way.

- Telephone payments

When you call us to make a phone booking for a comedy show, comedy course/workshop or to make a purchase from our shop, our phone operator will take your contact and payment details from you.

Your payment details (debit/credit card) are then input into a virtual terminal hosted by our partner Global Iris Realex Payments.

When you make any payment to us by phone The Funny Side will not store your card details.

When you join our mailing list

You may have joined our mailing list via our website or using the physical sign up sheets handed round at one of our comedy nights or when attending one of our courses/workshops.

Via our website you may have joined our mailing list by using the 'Join Mailing List' form or opted in to receive our mailing list when you - booked a comedy ticket, booked your place on one of our courses/workshops, made a purchase from our shop or signed up to our membership club.

Your details (name, email, which of our venues you live/work near) will only be used to send you our mailing list updates and the occasional special offer. This is usually a once-a-week mail out. Your details are never shared with any other company.

If you wish to unsubscribe you can use the 'unsubscribe' option found at the bottom of each mailout or contact us via contact@thefunnyside.info. We will then remove your details from our records.

Please Note: We need to know the actual name and/or email address you signed up with to be able to unsubscribe you. If you are currently using a new email address and having emails from an old address forwarded to that new address, then we need to know that old address (especially if you never gave us your real name).

When you join our membership club

You may have joined our membership club via our website, by phone or using the physical sign up sheets handed round at one of our comedy nights or when attending one of our courses/workshops.

Your details (name, email, which of our venues you live/work near, date of birth) will only be used in relation to setting up your membership and to send you an occasional special offer (including near your birthday). Your details are never shared with any other company.

If you wish to end your membership, or keep your membership but unsubscribe from any special offer emails, then please contact us via contact@thefunnyside.info. We will then unsubscribe you from special offer emails and/or remove your details from our records as instructed.

General contact

If you contact us by phone or email to ask any general questions about any of our shows, courses/workshops etc then please be assured that we will only use your contact details to answer your specific query. They will not be used for any other purpose.

Sharing of personal details

We will never share any of the personal details that we hold with any other organisation.

The Funny Side website does not use cookies except those used by Google Analytics (see below).
