Josh is the son of legendary PR guru Lynne Franks, the woman who inspired Jennifer Saunders' character Edina in Absolutely Fabulous. Raised as a Buddhist this ex-public schoolboy then trained as a Rabbi before being kicked off the programme for being caught with a naked (non-Jewish) girl. Now he's decided to settle down and get a proper job as a comedian, which started in earnest with his first trip to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2003. Since then he has become one of the hottest stars on the comedy circuit with his incisive wit and social comment.
Finalist at The Great Yorkshire Fringe Comedian of the Year and a regular perform in the London Circuit, Ali Woods is a great performer and even greater ranter. His view of the world leaves the audience in stitches, as he explains how his life has lead from mishap to mishap. A truly talented story teller.
Compere: Martyn Hill
Martyn has been working in comedy for the last 10 years. A resident MC in numerous venues and regular stand-up around London as well. A trained actor, stage manager and promoter, running his own clubs in the form of 'That Thing is Comedy' with which he runs shows in London and also takes them up to the Ed Fringe. Martyn is also co-producer of 'ImprofestUK', an annual improvisation festival where they cram as many shows as possible into one week and also raise money for Cancer Research UK in a special charity show. A charity very close to his heart.
