Michael first stamped his mark on the circuit in the 2003 final of Channel 4's 'So You Think You're Funny?' and rapidly earned a reputation as one of our most promising comedians. Nowadays he regularly performs at all the best clubs in the country. With a dark and honest approach to some of life's more touchy subjects he manages to effortlessly slip between some harsh, controversial topics to light-hearted silliness which makes for a refreshingly eclectic and brilliantly funny act.
Comedian, writer and actor Tim Clark is one of the brightest lights on the national comedy scene and a familiar face on television. His regular appearances at live venues throughout the country and especially at The Comedy Store and Jongleurs keep his wit sharp and his material fresh. His striking looks, quick wit and affable nature has made sure that Tim makes an instant impact on his many TV and radio appearances.
Mike Sheer made his stand-up debut at a joke competition in 1985, 'defeating the other children and winning the first prize of a dollar bill'. He deals out colourful stories and strange truths with humour that jumps from light to dark. Mike is also a comic book writer, published short story writer, amateur film-maker, rapper, and actor. Originally from Toronto, Mike has shared his thoughts at clubs, pubs, events, and festivals in Australia, Canada, United States, and the UK.
Sharlin Jahan is a Canadian, Bengali, British, Muslim currently living in London. Her comedy covers classic themes, but her unique perspective and confident delivery keep the jokes fresh. A natural and infectious stage presence that draws the crowd in immediately.
Compere: Gareth Kane
Gareth has been the resident compere for most of The Funny Side's gigs since 2011 and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh festival. Also a physical trainer and boxer, at 6'4" Gareth Kane is a man big on physique and big on talent.
