Markus is an original and highly talented stand up. He's an engaging speaker and his tales are littered with quips and gags - some very clever, some slightly more base – that elevate his routines out of 'mildly interesting' and well into funny.
Francis Foster is a comedian who talks about failure, his own mostly - he is a man struggling to cope with life and the existence he finds himself in. Being half English and half Latino, whilst hailing from South London, means that Francis spends his time perpetually confused. Somehow, in between all the mess and the flailing about, he finds time to gig at the best comedy clubs in the country and came third place in the prestigious New Act Of The Year Award 2015.
Mo Saffaf is a Damascus-born, London-bred comedian & writer. Combining his experiences as a British-Syrian with a uniquely charming persona allows his material to shine a satirical light on politics, culture and ultimately his own shortcomings in life.
Compere: Gareth Kane
Gareth has been the resident compere for most of The Funny Side's gigs since 2011 and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh festival. Also a physical trainer and boxer, at 6'4" Gareth Kane is a man big on physique and big on talent.
