Relaxed and improvisatory, Andrew Bird is one of those rare comedians who makes friends with his audiences in an instant. He's supported Lee Hurst and Rhod Gilbert on their national tours and regularly works as a TV Warm-Up Act for shows such as 'Deal or No Deal' and 'Have I Got New for You'. Childlike, witty and incredibly perceptive, if the 'mates chatting down the pub' style of conversational comedy is your cup of tea, then rest assured, Andrew Bird is the master of it.
All the way from New Zealand, Cameron Blair is a comedy singer songwriter who is now making an impact in the UK. He'll be performing songs fresh from his new show 'Swipe Right Love and Other Songs from Parallel Universes' which he performed at this year's Edinburgh fringe.
Lorna Shaw’s stand-up celebrates the 'average' in all of us. Her eminently relatable material examines how very few of us are extraordinary and how...that's not such a bad thing. Lorna is a talented and versatile comic performer. As half of critically acclaimed sketch duo, That Pair, she appeared on BBC Radio 4's Sketchorama and was a finalist in the Funny Women Awards.
Mike has been performing comedy for five years. Winner of 'Fosters South Coast Comedian of the Year' in 2014. Like an Everyman, if that Everyman had delicious cynicism and razor sharp wit Romesh Ranganathan.
Compere: Gareth Kane
Gareth has been the resident compere for most of The Funny Side's gigs since 2011 and is one of the most experienced hosts on the comedy circuit. He is also an accomplished actor and writer/performer with sketch group Harvey Garvey & the Kane who recently garnered 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh festival. Also a physical trainer and boxer, at 6'4" Gareth Kane is a man big on physique and big on talent.
