Ava Vidal
Ava Vidal was first inspired to do stand up when she saw US comic Chris Rock's show in 1996.
The full-time mother of two used to work as a prison officer, excellent training ground for dealing with comedy club
hecklers she reckons.
Ava's always felt out of place: at public school, as a prison officer and a struggling teenage single mum.
Luckily, the "rising star" (Guardian) of C4's 'Kings Of Comedy' and BBC2's 'The Sack Race' can laugh at her misfortunes,
and so will you, as this 2003 BBC New Comedy finalist commands the stage.
